Filthy Whisky, originally concieved by singer Digs in a quiet London suburb, began with the writing of a repertoire of songs with an intimate and melodic intent. With the addition of lead guitarist Oli, drummer Jesse and bassist Jay, the band have developed into a fully formed collective infusing their wide ranging influences to create a sound reminscent of late sixties rock but with very much a modern sensibiltiy in the vein of such contempoaries as Kings of Leon, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age and Raphael Saadiq; driving r&b rythms, distorted guitars and falsetto vocals all enveloped within an infectious melody represents what this group is about.
